Human Rights Officer

I work for the UN Team as human rights officer in Geneva, Switzerland. I hold a master’s degree in international and European law with a specialization in human rights and European public law from Maastricht University. After my studies, I started working at GHRD in order to contribute my expertise in human rights and international law to GHRD’s mission. As the UN team, we attend meetings and conferences at the United Nations and represent GHRD through oral and written interventions, most notably during the Human Rights Council session. We also actively cooperate with UN actors, agencies and mechanisms to further advance GHRD’s mission at the international level. Working for GHRD at the UN has been and still is a great opportunity to ensure that human rights are guaranteed on a universal and equal basis for all across the globe!

Our Vision

Our vision is to grant a world where the rights of all minorities and marginalized groups are respected and upheld in accordance with national and international laws, treaties and agreements.

Our Mission

Our mission is to actively promote and protect human rights of minorities and marginalized groups in order to enhance their socio-economic status. This is done through an international platform of empowerment via education, advocacy, and lobbying to demand more effort from established organizations, institutions, media, and relevant authorities. We strive for the fulfillment of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Declaration on Rights of Minorities (1992).
