I work for the UN Team as a human rights officer in Geneva. I have previous work experience in other NGOs, in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and in the human rights department of the Spanish embassy in Geneva, which allows me to understand human rights from different perspectives. In terms of academic experience, I have a Master’s degree in Fundamental Rights and a double Bachelor’s degree in Law and Economics. As a member of the UN Team in Geneva, I actively participate in meetings and events with both oral and written interventions on all human rights related issues, especially at the Human Rights Council. We also actively collaborate with UN special mechanisms, treaty bodies and other human rights agencies and stakeholders. I consider that working for GHRD is a great experience that allows us to grow both professionally and personally and to know, understand and work to improve situations that occur in the world that are usually unknown and silenced.
Our vision is to grant a world where the rights of all minorities and marginalized groups are respected and upheld in accordance with national and international laws, treaties and agreements.
Our mission is to actively promote and protect human rights of minorities and marginalized groups in order to enhance their socio-economic status. This is done through an international platform of empowerment via education, advocacy, and lobbying to demand more effort from established organizations, institutions, media, and relevant authorities. We strive for the fulfillment of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the UN Declaration on Rights of Minorities (1992).
UN ECOSOC-accredited human rights organization based in The Hague, advocating worldwide for justice, equality, and human dignity.
