Marketing Coordinator

I started my journey with Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD) in September 2023 as a Social Media & Promotion Team Intern. Even though I didn’t come from a human rights background, I immediately felt at home in this international environment. During my internship, I gained experience in both the practical and strategic aspects of marketing within an NGO, from handling the transition to a brand-new website, to live-covering the 55th UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Instagram.

After my internship I continued as a Marketing Associate and have been working as Marketing Coordinator since January 2025. I have been responsible for strengthening GHRD’s presence on digital platforms by creating and curating content that highlights urgent human rights issues I manage the Instagram account, co-develop the social media strategy, maintain and continuously improve our website, and ensure that our visual communication stays both informative and engaging.

What I enjoy most about working at GHRD is the chance to combine creativity with purpose. Every piece of content I work on, whether that’s a website banner, a protest flyer, or an Instagram post, is part of a bigger mission: to amplify silenced voices and raise awareness about ongoing human rights violations. Being part of this impact, and seeing how my skills can contribute to it, is something I truly value.
