Abortion remains a contentious issue worldwide, with millions of women participating in discussions about Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) rights. However, the US has become more restrictive in recent years, with over half of its states planning to ban abortion altogether. The overturning of Roe v. Wade would reduce access to abortion from a constitutional right to one that individual states could decide on. This deterioration of reproductive rights could encourage states to adopt restrictive policies, potentially affecting international human rights law and endangering women worldwide. This report aims to highlight other countries’ abortion policies, highlighting the conservative trend in the US.
