The US, the second largest and most populated country, has become the world’s main economic power. However, human rights violations have increased, including racial discrimination, systemic racism, xenophobia, arbitrary detentions, and excessive police force. In the last four years of Donald Trump’s administration, laws and policies have been used to restrict migration, particularly for Muslims and those arriving at the southern border.
