Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been threatening Ukraine, allegedly committing war crimes. The article will focus on the illegality of war crimes and their legislation before courts, rather than the qualification of the crime of aggression under international law or Russia’s involvement. The definition of war crimes and their entailment are essential for international and national criminal justice responses to these violations.
