The flood devastated millions of homes and infrastructure, increasing the national poverty rate from 3.7 to 4.0 percentage points. Pakistan is among the top 10 countries most affected by climate change, with increased frequency and severity of tropical storms and rains. Despite investing in disaster risk management and developing long-term policies, challenges persist.
