
During this online panel, the GHRD will discuss the right to self-determination. The panel provides a forum for diverse panellists from all over the globe, who will address questions such as: What does the right to self-determination entail? What kind of impact does the right of self-determination have on indigenous communities? What steps should be taken by internal and external factors to strengthen this right? While the main focus lies on the indigenous communities of the Amazon, the panel will also touch upon indigenous communities in other geographical areas and their right to self-determination.

Celebrate International Women’s Day at unique event in The Hague under the theme of “Female Focus: Gender Equality and Sustainability.
On the 2nd April 2002, Global Human Rights Defence is holding an event to highlight the contribution of women to sustainable development and enjoy coming together and celebrate this day after a long period of lockdowns
The event was postponed due to Covid restrictions but we are glad that it can take place now in the Grote Kerk in The Hague from 14:00 to 19:45 (approximately). The program contains inspiring speakers from different parts of the world on the topic of female contribution to equality and sustainability together with entertainment, information stands, and a walking dinner.
