Minority groups in Pakistan are Hindus, Sikhs, Ahmadiyyas and Christians, as well as other smaller minority groups. According to the 2017 Census, the proportion of Christians in Pakistan is estimated to be about 1.27% of the population.
Christians in Pakistan are in fear for attacks on their residential areas and places of worship and they face Pakistan’s controversial blasphemy laws (BBC, 2018).
It is important that we raise awareness about the Christians living in Pakistan and the situations they currently face. Only if we contribute to this goal together, we can achieve our goals of protecting the Christian community in Pakistan. Let us unite for this cause and hold hands to make an impact.
