About DAFOH
In 2006 news broke that in China followers of the spiritual discipline Falun Gong, perecuted as prisoners of conscience since 1999, were subjected to organ extraction without consent for the purpose to transplant their organs as a lucrative business. The founders of our NGO, medical doctors of various specialties, assessed this as a violation of medical ethics , let alone a murder crime. After more evidence emerged in the first half of 2006, the decision was made to start a medical advocacy NGO, Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting, DAFOH, to bring this violation of the meical oath to the attention of the medical community and the public. DAFOH wishes to inform, provide objective findings, promote medical ethics and to stop this transpant abuse in China. Over the past 18 years, DAFOH has tried all avenues to bring this medical abuse to broader attention through articles in medical journals, forums, radio and TV interviews, a global petition that garnered more than 3 million signatures, assisted as advisers to parliamentarian legislations, and publications, such as our 2024 Special Report. The report aims to compile and summarize this very complex subject. As one will agree, it is extremely difficult and dangerous to collect evidence within a totalitarian country as the People’s Republic of China. In a one-party state, what is considered unethical in the rest of the world, can be declared a normal practice, which is exactly what occurred to forced organ harvesting. Instead of a single proof, it is rather an investigative work, where pieces of evidence are collected. Our report is such approach, where irregularities and anomalies in official Chinese transplant data is presented and exposed, and that applies to transplant numbers as well as numbers of a recently started organ donor program. A chapter of eyewitness reports adds specific revelations of the transplant industry. At the end the report concludes that China’s official transplant data cannot be verified, and that a secret source. of organs, such as from Falun Gong practitioners, remains the only alternative to explain China’s explosive transplant growth. In transplant medicine, one cannot only consider the organ recipient, one has to consider the organ “donor” as well. Forced organ harvesting in China is probably the biggest medical crime of the 21st century. DAFOH works tirelessly to stop this abuse and hops that more people, organizations and governments join this call. DAFOH has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2016, 2017 and 2024. Sincerely, Andreas Weber, MD Deputy Director Europe, DAFOH
This will be under the FLAG of GHRD – Falun Gong and DAFOH.
