
During this online panel, the GHRD will discuss the right to self-determination. The panel provides a forum for diverse panellists from all over the globe, who will address questions such as: What does the right to self-determination entail? What kind of impact does the right of self-determination have on indigenous communities? What steps should be taken by internal and external factors to strengthen this right? While the main focus lies on the indigenous communities of the Amazon, the panel will also touch upon indigenous communities in other geographical areas and their right to self-determination.

Upcoming Saturday 25th of September 2021, it will be possible to meet and greet with Human Rights defender Mr. Baseer Naveed. Mr. Naveed is a Pakistani, who is furthermore the executive director of the International Human Rights Council. The International Human Rights Council is a regional human rights body that works for strengthening democracy and institutions of Justice. Mr. Baseer Naveed has been further known as the man who was deprived of various fundamental rights by many parties, which led to his statelessness.
This meet and greet is arranged by the World Sindhi Congress, a human rights organization that educates and advocates for Sindh and Sindhi’s communities.
