On November 13, 2024, GHRD joined hands with the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) to honor Baloch Martyrs Day at Nutshuis in The Hague. This solemn event paid tribute to the countless Baloch individuals who have sacrificed their lives in the fight for justice, freedom, and dignity for the Baloch people. The event highlighted the enduring struggle of the Baloch nation under oppression from Iranian and Pakistani authorities.

A Day of Reflection and Resolve
As shared by Jamal Baloch, a political activist and survivor of enforced disappearance, “Baloch Martyrs Day is a time to remember the brave souls who inspire generations with their courage and commitment to resistance. Today, we reaffirm our resolve to stand for truth and liberty.”

The commemoration brought together activists from diverse communities, including Baloch, Kurdish, Afghan, and Arab groups, united in their condemnation of ongoing human rights abuses. Through speeches, tributes, and collective calls to action, attendees reinforced their commitment to exposing violations and advocating for the rights of oppressed peoples worldwide.

Global Advocacy for Justice
The Netherlands event was part of a broader international effort by the FBM to raise awareness about the plight of the Baloch people and call for global action.
