Global Human Rights Defence organized a meeting at our office on the important matter of recent violent attacks targeting religious minorities in Bangladesh, which have resulted in the destruction of homes, places of worship, and businesses belonging to Hindu, Ahmadiyya, and other minority communities.

On Friday, October 11th, an important online speakers event took place, highlighting the sensitive and underreported situation of the 57 Bangladeshis detained in the UAE. Our guest speakers, Md. Mostafa Hossain, Quazi Omar Foysal, and Quazi Maruful Alam did an excellent job, and we are very grateful for their participation in the event, as well as the 30 participants who were actively engaged in it.

Film festival submissions are now open, we are seeking short, English-subtitled films for a diverse and inclusive lineup, focusing on children's rights.

Forced Organ Harvesting from Living people in China

The International Press Center Nieuwspoort hosted a press conference on forced organ harvesting in China, presenting a comprehensive report on this human rights issue. The conference featured first-hand testimony and expert analysis, as well as engagement with key stakeholders. Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), established in 2006, aimed to bring this medical abuse to the public.
